How Do You Give Back?

Our team at Thirty Hair happen to have a very special theme—our love for others. Not only do we love the clients who sit in our chairs, but we love the community we work in as well as the world we live in. We have many ways we love to give back but here are a few of our favorite organizations that we work with during the year!

Earth Month: American Rivers and Charity: Water

https://www.americanrivers.org/
Each year, we partner with Aveda Global to support clean water efforts. For the past nine years, it has been in conjunction with American Rivers which is based in Washington, D.C. Funds raised go directly to them to help support their work with the Rivers of Chesapeake as well new storm water initiatives to help as more flooding and climate change has occurred in our region.

Charity: Water is a nonprofit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to communities in need. Since 2006, Charity: Water has funded over 51,000 water projects around the world to help 11 million people get access to clean water, hygiene, and improved sanitation.

Howard County Public Schools Families in Need

https://www.hcpss.org/
We believe in the power of kindness and the importance of supporting our community. Every year, during the holiday season, we’re honored to sponsor families in need — providing them with a little extra care and joy. Through complimentary salon services and thoughtful gifts for their children, we hope to make the season brighter and help these families feel pampered and loved. It’s our way of giving back to the community that has given us so much.

Grassroots Crisis Intervention

Grassroots is practically in our backyard! One of the best ways we have found to support Grassroots is providing a dinner meal for all of those staying there every quarter. Our team all pitches in to provide various things to create a warm meal for those who may not otherwise have one. What we love about Grassroots is that it is more than just a shelter, but also a crisis intervention facility with 24-hour suicide prevention hotlines for those in need.
